August for us at Halo FX has been about looking back to the past with our involvement in Rugby’s World War One commemorations.  And we’ve also been thinking about the future after having a talented young person work with us this month.

Rugby’s World War One commemorations were a real triumph.  From enlisting at the library to parading through the streets in vintage outfits, to a moving service in award winning Caldecott Park, it was a perfect mix of honouring the past, recognising what’s going on in the world now and thinking about the future.  Families and young children enjoyed so many aspects of the day; you can see the delight on their faces as they play in the confetti cascade we created using cannons and a blaster.

These images were taken by Laura Pluzek who I had the pleasure of meeting this year when I acted as Business Adviser to a Young Enterprise team.  Laura certainly has an eye for capturing events.  She’s caught the beauty of poppies and their petals beautifully.  Thank you Laura, good luck in your future career.

And so as we enter September my mind turns to Wedding Fayres and yes the 5th of November.  Keep an eye on our Facebook page for where you can see us over the coming months.
